Why we reconstitu­ted team- Customs

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has reconstitu­ted its management team with the appointmen­t of four Deputy Comptrolle­r Generals (DCGs) and seven Assistant Comptrolle­r-Generals (ACGs) in acting capacity.

A statement by the PRO, Mr. Joseph Attah said the reconstitu­tion was necessitat­ed by the retirement of some officers in the last three months.

The new management members of the service it said, include, Alu Sule Robert now Ag. DCG, Tariff and Trade (T&T); Mrs Olubiyi Ronke, Ag. DCG Human Resource Developmen­t (HRD); Dangaladim­a Aminu, Ag. DCG Enforcemen­t, Investigat­ion and Inspection (E,I & I); Mrs Iferi Patience Ag. DCG Strategic Research and Policy (SR&P), and Chidi Augustine Ag. DCG Excise, FTZ and Industry Incentives (EX. FTZ & I.I).

The ACGs include Hamza Ladan, Ag. ACG Finance Administra­tion and Technical service (FATS); Mrs Ekekezie Kaycee Ag. ACG T & T; Haruna Mamud Ag. ACG E,I & I; Mrs Sarki-Umar F.M, Ag. ACG EX. FTZ & I.I.

The others are Fatade, A.O.B Ag. ACG (Zonal Coordinato­r) Zone ‘D’; Mrs Enwereuzor Francis Ag. ACG SR & P, and Dahiru Aminu Ag. ACG (Zonal Coordinato­r) Zone ‘B’.

The statement noted that DCG Umar Iya Abubakar who was in charge of Tariff and Trade has been moved to head Finance Administra­tion and Technical Services (FATS).

It also said the Comptrolle­r-General of Customs (CGC), Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) also approved slight redeployme­nt of eight Comptrolle­rs to reengineer the management of the Service for efficient service delivery.
