Supreme Court Justice chairs young lawyers mentoring programme

Supreme Court Justice, Clara Bata Ogunbiyi will today chair the second profession­al training and mentoring programme for Young Layers named after Hon. Chukwudifu Oputa ( JSC) at the J-K Gadzama Court, Garki, Abuja.

A release by the former DirectorGe­neral of the Nigerian Law School who is the chairman of the organizing committee for the mentoring programme, Prof. Tahir Mamman (SAN) states that: “The law firm being the first law firm to be accredited by the Nigerian Bar Associatio­n ( NBA) as a provider of continuing legal education, establishe­d the mentorship programme for the mentoring, training and guidance of Young lawyers ( less than 10 years post call) exgratis

The scheme aims at equipping Young Lawyers with requisite skills, knowledge and etiquette for success at the Bar and the Bench. This quarterly training usually features eminent serving and retired Judges, learned Senior Advocates of Nigeria and other eminent legal minds who have achieved tremendous success in their practice.

The mentorship programme holds today at 3.00pm at Moot Court, J-K Gadzama Court, Plot 1850 Damaturu Crescent by Kabo Way, Off Ahmadu Bello Way, Adjacent to Garirki Int’l Market/ Mall, Garki 2, FCT Abuja.

The themes for this year include: I. T. in lagal practice, Young lawyers and networking and Profession­al Associatio­n, relevance to the Young Lawyer.

Speakers are Former Dean Faculty of Law and DVC Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto State, Prof. Mohammed Lawal Ahmadu, Former Country President, Internatio­nal Federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA) Hauwa.
