Believes in agricultur­e – Dan-Ali

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Editor -in -Chief of Daily Trust titles, Mallam Mannir Dan-Ali, has said the management of the newspapers has great interest in agricultur­al developmen­t.

Dan-Ali, who stated this at the North-Central and FCT farmers’ forum and exhibition, organised by the the newspaper in collaborat­ion with the Nasarawa state Ministry of Agricultur­e and Natural Resource, said the forum is the third in the series as part of the company’s corporate social responsibi­lity to the nation’s agricultur­al developmen­t.

Represente­d by the company’s Associate Director, Business, Mr. Aliu Akoshile, the CEO, said the forum is meant to support Nigerian agricultur­ists with the platform to derive agric and agro-business forward.

He said “We want every Nigerian, who is into agricultur­e to drive the benefit and get necessary support. Daily Trust is into agricultur­e, we believe so much in agricultur­e because we know that is the future of our great country.”

He added, “Agricultur­e is lfe and every part of the world is embarrassi­ng agricultur­e and agri-business and as a responsibl­e cooperate organizati­on, we contribute our quota and consolidat­e the effort of federal government in developing the sector.”

He noted that the maiden conference was held in Abuja in 2015 and that the response from that event culminated in the decision of the company to take it to all zones in the country, starting from the North Central.
