Abuja Business Clinic to host 5000 MSMEs

The Abuja Business Clinic is expected to host 5000 Micro Small and Medium Enterprise­s (MSMEs) within and outside the FCT.

The Managing Director of the Abuja Enterprise Agency, Malam Arabi Muhammed Tukur, who stated this yesterday during a press conference in Abuja said the agency has registered 4000 participan­ts and 1000 exhibitors.

“The Nationwide Business Clinic will enlighten MSMEs on programmes of the Federal Government that will accelerate business growth and provide on-the- spot support services to MSMEs. In addition it will provide the platform to promote and showcase made in Nigeria products and services,” he said.

The Technical Adviser on MSMEs to the Acting President, Mr Tola A. Johnson, said the government is serious about tackling the challenges of MSMEs and that when that was done, the internally generated revenue would increase.

Johnson also said immediatel­y the Developmen­t Bank of Nigeria (DBN) takes of fully, it would tackle the issue of funding for small businesses and urged MSMEs to attend the clinic as they have a lot to benefit.

The two-day business clinic which is slated to hold on July 19 and 20 at the Eagle Square, Abuja, will feature exhibition­s, business matching and market linkages, one-on- one interactio­n with regulatory bodies and business round tables.
