12 schools chase laurels at Milo Basketball Championsh­ip finals

Out of the 150,000 participan­ts at the 19th Milo Basketball Championsh­ip, only 12 schools will be competing at the national draws at the indoor sports hall of the National stadium in Surulere, Lagos to win trophies for their Schools and States.

The national finals, which started on June 16, will come to an end on June 21. The semi-final will be played today, the third place tomorrow while the final match for both the boys and girls category will be played on Wednesday.

The 12 schools that emerged finalists from the conference games and play offs held in various parts of the country in the male and female categories are Government Secondary school, Numan, Adamawa State; Government Secondary school, Gboko, Benue State; St Jude’s Girls Secondary school, Amarata, Bayelsa State; Wesley Girls Secondary school, Yaba, Lagos; Yejide Girls Grammar school, Ibadan, Oyo State and Government Secondary School, Wuse, FCT Abuja for the female category while the finalists in the male category are Government Secondary School, Karu, FCT Abuja; Government secondary school, Minna, Niger State; St Augustine’s seminary, Ezamgbo, Ebonyi State; Greater tomorrow internatio­nal college, Arigidi Akoko, Ondo State; General Murtala Mohammed college, Yola, Adamawa State and Greenlands Academy, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
