Kogi deputy gov lauds traditional rulers’ support against crime
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba has commended traditional rulers across the state over their cooperation with government in the fight against crime in the state.
Achuba, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, made the commendation during his Sallah visit to the Attah of Igala, His Royal Highness, Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni II at his palace in Idah.
The deputy governor said the effort of the traditional rulers in the fight against armed robbery, kidnapping and other social vices had yielded positive result, urging them to continue the good work for the achievement of a better Kogi State.
Speaking, the Attah Igala and President, Kogi Traditional Council, Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni II, described the deputy governor as a progressive and pragmatic leader, praying God to continue to guide and protect him in all his activities in life.
He also commended Governor Yahaya Bello for piloting the affairs of the state in a fair and transparent way, urging him to continue the good work for the development of the state.
