New CP assumes office

A new commissioner of police for Kwara State, Mr. Lawan Ado, has assumed office.

The new police boss took over from Mr. Olusola Amore, who retired at the age of 60.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ajayi Okasanmi, described Mr. Lawan Ado as a seasoned and thoroughbred police officer and a community policing expert who was transferred from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Abuja where he served as the Commissioner of Police in charge of general investigation.

“The command is using this medium to solicit the cooperation of the general public in giving us information, so that together we can continue to make Kwara State a state of harmony,” the police statement said.
