…as natives submit 1,000 CVs for employment

- By Abubakar Sadiq Isah

Following the meeting with the FCT minister, the COFIG submitted 1, 000 curricula vitae (VCs) to the Minister of the FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello, to secure employment.

A statement issued by the group’s spokesman, Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf, said the submission of the CVs came on the heels of the group’s visit to the minister at his Life Camp residence in Abuja on Sunday.

He said some of the natives with Bachelor’s degrees as well as Master’s degrees decided to submit their CVs to the minister to consider employing them into government parastatals.

The statement said the presentation of the CVs was to prove to the minister that the youths are highly educated and have all it takes to be employed into federal government ministries and other corporate organisations.

“So our expectation after submitting the CVs is that the minister will set up a committee that will ensure that FCT natives gain employment,” the statement said.
