Rooney ‘very welcome’ in China — Eriksson
Wayne Rooney should consider a move to China if he decides to leave Manchester United this summer, according to Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Rooney is yet to announce where he will play next season after saying in May he had “more of less” come to a decision.
The 31-year-old has two years left on his contract at Old Trafford but has slipped down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho. He has been linked with moves to Everton, the United States and the Chinese Super League but Eriksson, who has managed Guangzhou, Shanghai SIPG and Shenzhen FC, says Rooney and his family would enjoy life in China.
