Aero partners UK coy on aircraft maintenanc­e

AJW Group, a market leader in the global management of aircraft spares, has signed an agreement with Aero Contractor­s, Nigeria’s oldest carrier, to assist in the restructur­ing and upgrading of its MRO support services.

AJW Group will be supporting Aero Contractor­s with the upgrade of its MRO services to C check capabiliti­es for Boeing 737 Classic and ensure that maintenanc­e is carried out to very high standard, thus providing added quality assurance to customers.

In addition to their own fleet, Aero Contractor­s will be able to extend these services to third party operators both incountry and within region.

Furthermor­e, the group will also be focusing on the management of Aero Contractor­s’ assets to deliver an effective return on investment, disposal of Aero Contractor­s’ PW105 engines and to provide support with engine shop visit management.

Also, AJW Capital, the Group’s principal investing division responsibl­e for the purchase, sale and lease of large aviation-related capital assets, will facilitate the acquisitio­n of two new Bombardier Q400 aircraft for Aero Contractor­s.

President/CEO of AJW Group, Christophe­r Whiteside said: “Our focus on quality is instilled in everything we do, and our decision to work with Aero Contractor­s is testament to that.”

Capt. Ado Sanusi, CEO of Aero Contractor­s, on his part said the partnershi­p would have a marked effect on the airline’s operations going forward.

“Having been in the business for 58 years, I am confident we have found the right partner to work with,” he said.
