Sani Dangote to chair North West farmers forum and exhibition

The President of Nigeria AgriBusiness Group and Vice President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Sani Dangote, is to chair the forthcoming North West farmers forum and exhibition.

The event, whose theme is "Showcasing Agric Potentials of North West States toward Improving Farmers Productivity," is to take place on Tuesday, 25th - Wednesday 26th July, 2017 at Meena Events Centre, Lodge Road, close to Government House, Kano.

The interactive Farmers Forum and exhibition which is organised by Daily Trust in partnership with Kano State Ministry of Agriculture and is aimed at accelerating agricultural development in the country in line with the agric alternative agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The chief host of the event is Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The governors of states in the North West will be special guests of honour and will also deliver special remarks on the agric potentials of their states. Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh, is the distinguished guest of honour.

Participants expected at the occasion include all members of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) and Federation of Agricultural Commodities Association of Nigeria (FACAN) in the North West states.

Other expected participants include, officials of Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), Nigeria Agricultural Qurantine Services (NAQS), ministries of agriculture in the north west states, FADAMA, WAPP, CBN, NIRSAL, BOA, NAIC, NNDC, NEPC, Agric Development Programme/ Agri input providers, agricultural equipment manufacturers and suppliers, Aggro allied and agro processing industries, development partners, agric NGOS and other players in the agric sector.

Highlight of the event will include exhibition by the states in the north west, AFAN, FACAN and other players in the private sector.
