Fulani group vows to fight kidnapping, cattle rustling

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has vowed to join forces with security operatives to curb kidnapping and cattle rustling.

Addressing the zonal meeting of the group yesterday in Minna, the national vice chairman North Central Zone, Alhaji Idris Gidado Bebeji said the body would no longer sit and watch while misguided elements of Fulani extraction continued to dent its image by engaging in such vices.

Bebeji said it was troubling that a growing number of Fulani youths were been paraded by security operatives as kidnappers, adding that the body was taking drastic measures to address the problem.

He promised that the body would provide logistics to its volunteer group to provide vital information that would assist security

operatives in fighting the menace.

He urged security operatives not to grant bail to any suspect arrested for engaging in crimes so they would serve as deterrent to others.
