Peace Corps lauds Arewa Youth decision to review quit notice

The Peace Corps of Nigeria has described the decision of the Arewa Youth to review the quit notice given to Igbo as a welcome development.

The National Commandant of the Corps, Dr Dickson Akoh gave the indication after a consultative meeting of stakeholders of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Abuja.

Akoh who said there was no need for the disintegration of the country, appealed to elders of other regions to engage their youths in discussions that would engender peaceful co-existence.

He also called for continuous consultation that would lead to sustainable peace in the country, as well as enable youth to take their rightful place in governance.
