1,000 graduates to undergo ICT training in Oyo — Minister

Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, has said 1,000 youths who are graduate indigenes of Oyo State will undergo specialized Information Communication Technology (ICT) training before the end of this year.

The minister said this is important because one of the major reasons many Nigerians graduates are unemployed was lack of basic knowledge and information about Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

He disclosed this in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital when he presented two 18-seater buses to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and commissioning of six boreholes he executed in 6 areas within Ibadan.

Shittu while lamenting the rate of unemployment in the country said one of the ways to tame the unfortunate social problem is to expose youths to the nighty gritty of the ICT which he said has many potentials to tap.
