FG pays N214m to CCT ben­e­fi­cia­ries in Bauchi

The Na­tional So­cial In­vest­ment Of­fice has com­menced a fresh dis­burse­ment of N214 mil­lion to ben­e­fi­cia­ries of Con­di­tional Cash Trans­fer (CCT) in Bauchi State.

The amount is the money re­leased for trans­fer to 10, 700 poor and vul­ner­a­ble house­holds in 12 lo­cal gov­ern­ment ar­eas of the state on N5,000 per fam­ily monthly stipend.

Speak­ing to jour­nal­ists in Bauchi, the Special As­sis­tant to the Gov­er­nor of Bauchi State on Non-Gov­ern­men­tal Or­gan­i­sa­tions (NGOs) and So­cial In­vest­ment Pro­grams (SIPs), Mansur Manu Soro said the pay­ment of the stipends for the months of April, May, June and July 2017 would last for two weeks.

On his part, an of­fi­cial of the Na­tional Cash Trans­fer Of­fice, Muham­mad Jiya said that nine states, in­clud­ing Bauchi, were se­lected for the CCT Pi­lot project and soon ben­e­fi­cia­ries in eight more states would start ben­e­fit­ing from the pro­gram.
