Kaduna Electric explains power outage in Gusau
The management of Kaduna Electric has apologised to customers in Gusau and surrounding local government areas of Zamfara State that have had power failure a couple of days now.
The company blamed the failure on a fire that gutted the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) sub-station in Gusau on Sunday, July 30.
A statement by the Head, Corporate Communications of the Company, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, said valuable power supply assets were lost to the inferno, but assured that engineering and technical crew from the TCN were working to repair damaged equipment.
“While we regret the inconvenience which the unexpected outage has caused our esteemed customers, we are quick to advice that extra vigilance by the customers and the security agencies is highly needed now to avert vandalism of power supply facilities in the affected areas,” the statement said.
