5 firms qualify for Cross River airline, shipping lines management bid
Only five firms have been lucky enough to be selected out of 10 which bidded to manage the proposed Cross River airline, otherwise called Callyair, as well as another proposed state owned shipping line.
The companies which scaled through the technical evaluation stage are: Catalyst Gold innovation, Glory Airline, Travel Essentials, Manyata engineering and Tropic Aviation.
10 companies had made presentations to the state government for consideration as transaction advisors for the procurement of aircrafts and vessels for the proposed Air and shipping lines respectively.
The final bids are expected on the 15th of August where the companies would present their financial bids for the procurement exercise proper.
Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Saviour Nyong, said: “Over the years, Cross River, as a coastal state had not tapped into the benefits of being endowed with a coastal land but with the emergence of Governor Ayade, Cross River is now on track to correct that anomaly.”
