Police parade 40 Abuja-Kaduna road kidnappers

The Police yesterday paraded another set of 40 suspected kidnappers along the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

A statement by police spokesman, CSP Jimoh Moshood said the ‘Operations Absolute Sanity’ smashed the gang of suspected kidnappers on the highway and recovered large caches of arms and ammunition and properties belonging to some victims.

He said the suspects are: Ali Bello (gang leader), Goma Shehu, Mohammed Muju’a, Danladi Hassan, Mohammed Abubakar, Daniel Owobi, Egwu Ogiri, Bashir Haruna, Shedrach Hosiah, Victor Yohanna, Suleiman Isah.

Others are: Abbas Aliyu, Bala Isiya, Hafiz Jibrin, Aminu Mohammed, Abdullahi Adamu, Tukur Ado, Iliyasu Soda, Mohammed Musa, Aliyu Halilu, Ali Adamu, Ahmadu Ya’u, Shehu Habu, Ishakwu Ibrahim and Mustafa Ibrahim

The Tanko gang also Abdullahi, has: Jibrin Mohammed, Jibrin Wali, Tijjani Ahmad, Mohammadu Rabiu, Suleiman Mohammed, Dahiru Bello, Abdulkarim Bello, Mohammed Abubakar, Usman Abdullahi, Umar Garba, Abdulrahaman Amadu, Mu’ázu Salisu, Bala Isiyaku and Mohammad Sani.

He said exhibits recovered include: one locally made smg, three AK 47 riffles, one double barrel riffle, two single barrel, one riffle with telescope sight, three locally made pistol, one revolver with 7.62m ammunition and five pump action.

Others are: one revolver pistol, thirty life cartridges, seventy seven (77) 7.62mm ammunition, ten 9mm ammunition, two magazine, assorted charms, five laptops belonging to victims, five ipad belonging to victims, various types and make of handset (phone) belonging to victims, several wrist watches (assorted) belonging to victims and jewelleries.

The police had earlier paraded 32 suspects arrested around Kateri along the highway.
