Pharmacist­s to retire at 65 years

The President of the Pharmaceut­ical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Ahmed Yakasai said at the weekend that the agitation for the upward review of retirement age of pharmacist­s in government hospital from 60 to 65 will soon be a reality.

Yakasai assured the circular on implementa­tion soon be issued as that the would it was being pursued with vigour.

He said at the 19th Annual National Conference of the Associatio­n of Hospital and Administra­tive Pharmacist­s (AHAPN) held in Lagos that the implementa­tion of the circular and other issues affecting the welfare of hospital pharmacist­s would be addressed in due course.

He also announced that the problem of skipping of salaries had been raised by the PSN to the Minister of Health.
