Phar­ma­cists to re­tire at 65 years

The Pres­i­dent of the Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal So­ci­ety of Nige­ria (PSN), Ahmed Yaka­sai said at the week­end that the ag­i­ta­tion for the up­ward re­view of re­tire­ment age of phar­ma­cists in gov­ern­ment hos­pi­tal from 60 to 65 will soon be a re­al­ity.

Yaka­sai as­sured the cir­cu­lar on im­ple­men­ta­tion soon be is­sued as that the would it was be­ing pur­sued with vigour.

He said at the 19th An­nual Na­tional Con­fer­ence of the As­so­ci­a­tion of Hos­pi­tal and Ad­min­is­tra­tive Phar­ma­cists (AHAPN) held in La­gos that the im­ple­men­ta­tion of the cir­cu­lar and other is­sues af­fect­ing the wel­fare of hos­pi­tal phar­ma­cists would be ad­dressed in due course.

He also an­nounced that the prob­lem of skip­ping of salaries had been raised by the PSN to the Min­is­ter of Health.
