Centre postpones Buharimete­r town hall meeting

The second edition of Buharimete­r town hall meeting, organized by the Centre for Democracy and Developmen­t (CDD) slated for today at Sheraton Hotels, Abuja has been postponed.

A statement by a programme officer of centre, Inim Beatrice said August 15 has been fixed as new date for the event.

The meeting was expected to be attended by six ministers including, Alhaji Lai Mohammed (Informatio­n and Culture) Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), (Power, Works and Housing) Audu Ogbe, (Agricultur­e and Rural Developmen­t) Kemi Adeosun, (Finance) Kayode Fayemi, (Mines and Steel Developmen­t) and Mansur Dan Ali, (Defence) among other dignitarie­s.

This was the second time the meeting would be shelved after it was earlier postponed from July 13.

No reason was given for the postponeme­nt, but an official said some of the ministers were afraid to talk.
