Col­lege honours Rochas, Da­suki, task­force Com­man­der, 4 others

The Green Col­lege, Jos, has hon­oured Gov­er­nor Rochas Oko­rocha of Imo State, former Min­is­ter of State In­for­ma­tion and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, Al­haji Ibrahim Da­suki Sal­ihu Nakande and Com­man­der, Op­er­a­tion Safe Haven (OPSH) over the roles the col­lege said they have played in pro­mot­ing and sus­tain­ing na­tional unity, peace and progress in Plateau state and the na­tion in gen­eral.

Others that were hon­oured dur­ing the Speech and Prize Given Day or­gan­ised by the col­lege at SSANU Hall, Univer­sity of Jos yes­ter­day, in­cluded Plateau State Direc­tor of the DSS, Iro Ab­dul­lahi Dan­musa for his con­tri­bu­tions to­wards ‘na­tional strat­egy for peace,’ Prof Warisu Ayosheni Ali, Direc­tor, Con­sumer Pro­tec­tion, Cen­tral Bank of Nige­ria (CBN) and Zainab Mu’azu, a 14-year-old en­trepreneur.

The Chair­man Ass­abiqoon In­vest­ment Ltd, the pro­pri­etors of the col­lege, said they hon­oured Gov­er­nor Rochas for his ef­fort in na­tion build­ing and peace sus­tain­abil­ity, Ha­jiya Khadi­jah Kas­sim be­cause of her pas­sion in pro­mot­ing girl child ed­u­ca­tion, and Da­suki Nakande for set­ting up the Unity FM ra­dio in Jos which preaches peace in the state.
