Abaji council chairman loses mother

The mother of Abaji Area Council chairman, Hajiya Fatima Ajiya, is dead.

Hajiya Ajiya, 74, died Friday after she slumped while going to the bathroom.

A member of the family, Idris Ajiya, said she was confirmed dead by doctors at the Abaji General Hospital.

City News reports that the Chief Imam of Abaji Central Mosque, Alhaji Bala Usman, led the prayer for the deceased.

She has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
