A statement signed by the Coordinator, Archibuilt 2017 John Ewule said that the event scheduled for 21st-24th of August 2017 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, themed “Promoting the Development of Building Materials and Services for the Nigerian Market.”

The statement decries persistent Nigerian housing deficit and recent reports of numerous collapse building, saying they are indications of the need for the consistent review and evaluation of materials used, method employed and the continual training of the professionals.

It reads in part: “This year’s edition intends to address these issues by featuring a training workshop on Health, Safety & Environment, a student’s design competition on the use of clay products for building and an Autodesk certification for the professionals.

“It will also feature discussions on Housing Finance, Development of Construction Technology in Nigeria as well as requirements to achieve green ratings for materials and buildings.
