COREN be­gins 26th En­gi­neer­ing As­sem­bly in Abuja to­day

The 26th En­gi­neer­ing As­sem­bly or­gan­ised by the Coun­cil for the Reg­u­la­tion of En­gi­neer­ing in Nige­ria (COREN) be­gins in Abuja to­day.

COREN Pres­i­dent, Engr Kashim Ali said at a press brief­ing, Fri­day, said the an­nual En­gi­neer­ing As­sem­bly was meant to up­date the knowl­edge of mem­bers of the en­gi­neer­ing fam­ily and share ideas on emerg­ing is­sues in the prac­tice of the en­gi­neer­ing pro­fes­sion.

Ali said the theme of this year’s As­sem­bly which will com­mence with an open­ing cer­e­mony on Mon­day 7th and end on Wed­nes­day 9th Au­gust, 2017 is “En­trepreneur­ship and Man­u­fac­tur­ing in Nige­ria: Chal­lenges and Op­por­tu­ni­ties for a Bet­ter Fu­ture.”

“The Act­ing Pres­i­dent, Prof. Yemi Os­in­bajo is ex­pected to be the Spe­cial Guest of Honour at the open­ing cer­e­mony, while the Ex­ec­u­tive Gov­er­nor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura will be the Chair­man of the Day while the Min­is­ter of Power, Works and Hous­ing, Ba­batunde Fashola will be the Chief Host,” he said.
