- By Pebang Danladi

The Bwari Area Council has promised transparency in the award of contract for Mpape A Market and Kogo bus terminal.

Declaring the second bidding process for the projects open yesterday, the head of administration of the council, Alhaji Musa Loko, who represented the chairman, reiterated the council’s pledge for honesty and transparency in the selection process.

Earlier in his address, the head of logistics in the council, Mr Ajoze Sumaila Shaibu, gave the guidelines on the official scoring system and asked the members of the team drawn from various sections of the works and finance departments to be discreet and performing the task to the best of their ability in order not to betray their professional conduct.

It will be recalled that the council had earlier performed the prequalification bid opening before this final stage which is the financial and engineering bid received from four companies contesting for the two categories.

There was PowerPoint presentation performed by the bidding organisations.

The first category which is the Mpape A Market had Messers JDK Resources Ltd, Fromeb Associates Nigeria Ltd and M. N Ataj Construction Ltd who tried to convince the council of their capability to handle the job.

However only Achi Amaka Construction Company Ltd met the condition to qualify for the final round for the Kogo Bus Terminal and Modern Motor Park.
