Sallah: NTIC Foundation slaughters 326 cows for the needy

The Nigerian Tulip Internatio­nal Colleges Foundation (NTICF) has donated 326 cows in 19 states to assist families who could not afford to buy rams and cows to celebrate Sallah.

The Director of NTIC Foundation, Mr. Behlul Basaran, said the gesture was to extend human kindness to the society.

“We are concerned about the less privileged in the society, that is why our initiative­s are designed to have an impact in their daily lives. This Sallah celebratio­n over 275 cows was killed, and over 20,000 families benefited with 3kg of meat each across 20 states in Nigeria,” he said.

Mr. Basaran stated that a map of IDP camps and rural communitie­s was drawn and various distributi­on vans were sent to these areas under close supervisio­n to ensure that the aim is achieved.

During a visit to one of the IDP camps, there was excitement in the air. Musa Ibrahim, one of the recipients at an IDP camp in Area One in the Federal Capital Territory, said: “The gesture by NTIC foundation is a welcome developmen­t and may Allah continue to bless them abundantly.”

Speaking earlier, Communicat­ion Director of the NTIC Foundation, Mr. Joshua Ocheja, said the NTIC Foundation as a policy felicitate­s with Muslim and Christian faithful during festive seasons like Sallah, Christmas, Easter, and others.
