Abia APC stakeholders zone Ukwa federal constituency seat
Some All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Ukwa Federal Constituency of Abia State have zoned the House of Representatives seat to Ukwa West Local Government.
They, therefore, advised members from other wards outside the local government not to contest the election.
The party stakeholders gave an assurance that the APC would entrench equity, justice and fairness in its developmental agenda in the state.
Speaking on behalf of other stakeholders, the governorship aspirant in Abia State, who is also the political leader of the federal constituency, Sir Marc Wabara, said the APC stakeholders met to consolidate in line with the party’s strategy ahead of 2019.
Wabara spoke yesterday in his country home in Ohambele in Ukwa East, while addressing journalists, after an elaborate stakeholders’ meeting in his residence in Ohambele Ukwa East Local Government Area.
He said the decision to zone the federal constituency seat to Ukwa West is based on the premise that the current House of Representatives’ member is from Ukwa East.
He said this is his third term in office as a lawmaker, whereas Ukwa West with the highest population, coupled with the highest number of wards has not produced a lawmaker.
According to the former managing director of the defunct Hallmark Bank, APC will enthrone good governance and ensure dividends of democracy are brought to the doorsteps of Abians.
He said, “APC will definitely win in Abia State in 2019. Abians should expect good governance from the APC if we take over office.
