Mad woman names baby after Ondo gov’s wife

A mad woman who delivered a female child in Ilutitun, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State has named the baby after the wife of the state governor, Betty Akeredolu .

The woman gave birth to the baby in a bush close to the town, to the shock of passersby who saw her in that condition and assisted by moving her to the hospital for proper care.

The baby was named Morenike Betty Akeredolu and a birth certificate issued to her in that respect.

Daily Trust learnt that Okitipupa Local Government which issued the birth certificate has also taken responsibility of the baby on behalf of the Ondo State Government.

Residents who spoke on the matter, said the mad woman was in the habit of soliciting for alms in street and slept at any available space.

One of the residents, Dayo Abiola, said no one could actually say who got the woman pregnant in the community, as no one had claimed responsibility.
