FCT po­lice gets new com­mis­sioner, so­lic­its for res­i­dents sup­port

The new po­lice com­mis­sioner of the FCT, Sadiq Abubakar Bello, on Wed­nes­day as­sumed of­fice and so­licited for the sup­port and co­op­er­a­tion of res­i­dents of the ter­ri­tory.

The new po­lice boss who took over from Musa Kimo, is the im­me­di­ate past com­mis­sioner of po­lice in Nasarawa State.

Sadiq, while speak­ing dur­ing the hand­ing over, ex­pressed his readi­ness to part­ner spir­ited in­di­vid­u­als, groups and all se­cu­rity agen­cies to en­sure crime is re­duced in the FCT and it’s en­vi­rons.

He added that he will evolve strate­gies that will build on the gains of his pre­de­ces­sor and make the FCT safe and se­cure for all.

City News learnt that the new FCT po­lice com­mis­sioner holds a Bach­e­lor of Arts De­gree in English from Bayero Univer­sity. He joined the Nige­ria Po­lice Force in 1988 as As­sis­tant Su­per­in­ten­dent of Po­lice (ASP).
