Activist dismisses existence of cabal in Aso Rock
A human rights activist, Comrade Obumneme Okonkwo, has dismissed reports of alleged existence of a certain cabal at the Presidential Villa.
Okonkwo said, yesterday, in Abuja that Nigerians should not misconstrue the good relationship between the president and his family members, associates and friends to the existence of a cabal, saying the president irrespective of his office cannot leave alone and should not be detached from his family.
He picked holes in the claims by some politicians whom, he said, were “disgruntled displaced politicians” that a certain cabal in the presidential villa had not only surrounded the president but also held him hostage.
He urged critics of President Buhari to come with better ideas on good governance to complement the administration’s efforts in fighting corruption, revolutionising agriculture and creating job opportunities for the country’s teeming youths than circulating falsehood that will not help the nation.
