Foreign countries, exhibitors throng 12th Abuja international fair
No fewer than 35 foreign companies and local exhibitors have stormed the Abuja Chamber for Commerce and Industry (ICCI), venue of the 12th International Abuja Trade Fair as it formally opened yesterday for the general public,

The Director General of the Abuja chamber, Chijoke Ekechukwu, had earlier stated that the trade fair is not organised for profit making, rather it has as core function the expanding of business frontiers in the country.
The DG added that the fair will prioritise Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) as part of the Federal Government’s effort to promote local production to boost the country’s economy.
Ekechukwu also maintained that the fair will have special days where participating states of the federation will be given the opportunity to showcase their agricultural products.
He assured foreign and local exhibitors of their safety as adequate security measures have been put in place throughout the event.
Abuja International Trade Fair covers all aspects of business and economic activities in Nigeria, offering unique meeting points for Nigerian and foreign policy makers, industrialists, manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and users of a wide range of goods and services.
It offers opportunities for local investment and promotion.
