Open hands of fellowship for us, Enoh tells APC
The chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, John Enoh, has appealed to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to discriminate against him and the large number of supporters he brought to the party.
Enoh, who defected to the APC from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lamented that his supporters had incessantly suffered series of discrimination and marginalisation.
He said he did not join the party to struggle for any office with anybody, but to add value and help effect changes to better the party and country.
He spoke at an APC stakeholders’ meeting, in Uyo, at the weekend, convened by the National Vice Chairman of the party for SouthSouth, Ntufam Hilliard Eta, to look at issues of bickering and differences ahead of the 2019 governorship election in the state.
“I decided to move into APC with my supporters after serious and due consideration. I came with the aim of giving my utmost support to uplift the party to formidability. I am very ready and willing to contribute my resources and time to promote APC. Our collective aim is to take over government house in Calabar.
“I must appeal very strongly that we should not be discriminated against even though the discrimination has been glaring,” he said.
Responding, Eta assured the senator and other new entrants into party that they were all one family.
