He said Kleef and Helixor Pharmaceuticals Nigeria Limited decided to present it to the ministry in order to integrate it massively in Nigeria as most people suffer from conventional approaches like chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
“When you are under going the other therapy approaches, you can use it as a support, palliative approach and even to alleviate basic side effects suffered from chemotherapy and radiotherapy,” he said.
While saying that the drug was being introduced for the first time in Africa, he said it has been used in the G7 countries (United States of America, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and Russia) for over 20 years.
Dr Philip Ogbede, Chairman of Kleef and Helixor Pharmaceuticals Nigeria Limited said he was inspired to introduce the medicine because of the number of people dying from cancer in the country.
