KOICA trains public servants on e-govt project planning, devt

Korea Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n Agency (KOICA) has trained 35 public servants from various ministries, department­s and agencies on e-government Project Planning and Developmen­t Course (PPD).

The two-week programme, second in a series, was to mitigate the skill gaps in e-government project management, Business Process Re-engineerin­g, IT Strategy Planning, and software developmen­t methodolog­y in the public service.

The training was organised in partnershi­p with Ministries of Communicat­ions, Budget and National Planning and Public Service Institute of Nigeria.

At the closing ceremony in Abuja, three participan­ts were presented with laptops, portable speakers and smart watches for their exceptiona­l performanc­es during the training.

The event also featured presentati­on of certificat­es to participan­ts and award of Master’s degree certificat­es to seven students who recently completed their Master’s degree programme in Korea’s KOOKmin University, under KOICA’s scholarshi­p programme.

The Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Communicat­ions, Alhaji Abdullahi A. Mashi, Chargé d’Affaires, of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Song Yong Min, Administra­tor, Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Dr. AbdulGaniy­u Obatoyinbo and the Country Director/Regional Representa­tive, KOICA Nigeria Office, Park Sook Hyun, among other dignitarie­s were present at the occasion.
