Bauchi gov leads APC Anambra gov’ship campaign team

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressiv­es Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has inaugurate­d the National Campaign Committee for Anambra State Governorsh­ip Election led by Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State.

Members on the campaign team included governors Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Godwin Obaseki (Edo) and Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo).

Others were the ministers of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, Transporta­tion, Rotimi Amaechi and Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.

The team also had former governors Orji Uzor Kalu, Jim Nwobodo and Segun Oni; Bolaji Abdullahi, Senator Osita Izunaso, Babafemi Ojudu, and a former Speaker of the House of Representa­tives, Agunwa Anaekwe, among others.

Oyegun, who said the party remained the best option to actualize the South East presidenti­al dream in the nearest future, tasked the committee to mobilize the entire citizens of Anambra State for victory.

He said, “If the APC can defeat an incumbent President, we can also defeat an incumbent governor.”

Chairman of the committee, Barrister Abubakar, said there was need for the party and its members to work for its success in the election.
