Bwari council boss, 19 LGA chairmen for LOGMA awards
The Bwari Area Council Chairman, Musa Dikko and 19 other local government area chairmen in the country would be honoured at this year’s Nigerian Local Government Chairmen Merit Award (LOGMA) for their outstanding performance.
A statement by the national coordinator of LOGMA, Bayode Ojo, said the Director General of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN), Dr Dikko Umaru Radda, would be the chairman of the occasion.
He said the chairman of the occasion would also deliver a keynote ceremony.
Ojo said the award is an annual initiative to reward outstanding local government chairmen in the country adding that 20 from across the country would be conferred with awards this year.
Those to be honoured are Taofiq Isa, Chairman Ijumu Local Government, Kogi; Emmanuel Emerua, Aba South, Abia State; Anthony Shawon, Guma, Benue State; Bello Bako, Rijau, Niger State; Itoro Columba, Ikono Local Government, Akwa Ibom State; Olufemi F. Kafaru, Sagamu, Ogun State; Aliyu Wakili Boya, Fufore, Adamawa address at the State; Abdullahi Haruna, Illela, Sokoto; Musa Mohammed, Yauri, Kebbi State and Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, Ogbomosho North, Oyo State.
Other recipients of the award include, Bashir Umar Maishanu, Wushishi, Niger State; Hamza Dadum of Nafara, Gombe State; Hassan Abdullahi Makarfi, Zaria, Kaduna State; Sarah Bali, Bassa Local Government, Plateau State; Lawal Abdullahi, Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State; Gbadebo Odimayo, Irele, Ondo State, Adejumo Akintunde, Osogbo, Osun State and Solomon Golley, Ethiope Local Government of Delta State.
