El-Kanemi didn’t sack Bosso – Zanna I sacrificed over $30,000 Oman deal for club - Coach

- By David Ngobua

@Ngobuadavid Contrary to reports in some sections of the media (Daily Trust not included) that former El-Kanemi Warriors Technical Adviser Ladan Bosso has been sacked, the chairman of the club Zanna Mohammed Mala has come out to say they only parted ways with the coach on mutual agreement.

Unlike Daily Trust, other media houses had reported that the coach was sacked for poor performance but the chairman has said the coach had not hidden his intention to leave the club at the end of the season.

He said, “We did not sack Bosso as reported. We only parted ways based on the understanding between us. Even when he got a deal abroad, he didn’t hide it from us.

“It was for this reason that we appreciated him and wished him the best of luck in his future endeavours. He even played a big role in the coach we have signed as his replacement.”

Meanwhile, coach Bosso has expressed shock at the ‘unfortunate’ news of his sack as he said he deserved more than what he got from ElKanemi Warriors.

Speaking to Daily Trust, the former Flying Eagles coach said he made the biggest sacrifice of his career when he turned down a big money move to Oman to serve El-Kanemi Warriors.

“I was shocked to read in the news that I was sacked by El-Kanemi Warriors. I tried to confirm that with the chairman but he said I was not sacked.

“The truth is that we parted ways mutually because even before the end of the season, the top management of the club knew I was going to leave.

“I got a deal worth over $30,000 from Club Al Shabab of Oman. I turned down the juicy offer because I didn’t want to leave them in the middle of nowhere,” he said.
