The Advanced Peoples Democratic Party (APDA), yesterday, ratified membership of its National Working Committee (NWC) and assured that it will cash on weaknesses in APC and PDP, as well as the failure of ruling APGA in Anambra State to win the November 18 governorship election in the state.

In a communiqué read at the end of its 3rd National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, APDA’s National Chairman, Malam Shitu Mohammed, expressed satisfaction over a court judgement that upheld the ownership of the party to incumbent leaders.

He said Terkura Suswam would serve as the party’s vice chairman for the North Central; Colonel Abbey Nwala (national org. secretary, Tosin Adeyanju (national publicity secretary and Barr. Akin Akinbobola as national vice chairman for the North.

The names of the party’s chairmen in some states were also ratified at the meeting.

Mohammed said the party had also reviewed the crisis rocking its chapter in Ekiti State, and resolved that status quo should remain. He appealed to other party executives in the states to revert to their former position.

The APDA chairman also commended the Federal Government for taking Nigerian out of recession, the bailout for states but appealed to the National Assembly to come up with framework to monitor utilization of such funds “instead of trying to fault the president on this laudable gesture.”
