Media Trust honours 36 staff for integrity, long service
Media Trust Limited, the publishers of the Daily Trust titles, has honoured 36 staff members for their integrity, excellence and long years of service to the company.
At the ceremony in Abuja on Tuesday, two staff received the Chairman’s Integrity Award. They are Daily Trust’s Senate correspondent Ismail Mudashir (Editorial) and Aisha Abdullahi Yusuf (Operations).
Two people also received the Excellence Award. They are Nathaniel Bivan (Editorial) and Rafiu Adebayo (Operations).
The company also honoured 12 staff members who had put in 15 years of service. They include Aminu Ado Ibrahim from General Admin Department as well as Eucharia Ejiofor and Moshood O. Mohammed from the Quality Control Department.
Others are Niger State correspondent, Ahmed Tahir Ajobe; Deputy Editor, Daily Trust on Saturday, Austin Jonathan Odo; State House Photojournalist, Felix Onigbinde; Sokoto Bureau Chief, Rakiya A. Mohammed; Kano Bureau Chief, Yusha’u A. Ibrahim; and Deputy Managing Editor, Nasir Adamu Imam.
From the Advert Department, Bridget O. Nwokocha and Usman Ja’afaru; as well as designer, Sani Ahmed were also honoured for putting in over 15 years.
Twenty staff members were also honoured for putting in over 10 years for the company. They include the Deputy Editorin-Chief, Mahmud Jega; Photo Editor, Yakubu Abubakar; and State House correspondent, Isiaka Wakili.
Editor of Aminiya, Balarabe Ladan Lemu; Fidelis Mac-Leva, Jimoh Abbas; Bashir Yahuza; and Abubakar Abdulrahaman all from the editorial department were part of the awardees.
Others are, Abdullahi M. Ladan, General Admin; Mohammed Garba Hassan, Abdullahi Aliyu, Musa A. Danyaro from Sales Department; and Jemima Martins, Kabiru Abubakar, Abbas Tijani Madabo, Aminu M, Nasidi from Advert Department.
Hassan A. Adebayo, Admin; Abba Musa, Pre-Press; Tanko Saeed Garba, Production; and Mohammed Audu, MM&C completed the list.
The Chief Executive Officer and Editor in Chief of Daily Trust, Mannir Dan Ali thanked the awardees and charged them and other staff to sustain the paper’s integrity brand.
