Shaiyen is the oil king

He raves and rants and reacts, but you will never know that Chris Shaiyen, a 13-Handicapper has so much golf going for him.

Last Saturday, at the lush IBB Golf course, close to 400 golfers came around to be part of the NNPC GMD’s Cup. Naturally, when you have this huge figure, you have to tee off by the ‘shot gun’.

Amidst the multitude, Shaiyen muscled a gross of 83 to down a former Captain of the Club and a 6-Handicapper, Okey Igweh, on a count-back score and thus became the ‘oil king’.

Hear Shaiyen: “I played a scintillating golgon the day. Carding 38 on the back 9 wasn’t a joke. I put in a lot of effort in the game. Ask around, if you must beat Okey Igweh, then you must be good. I won big. It’s no fluke. I will do it again during the Central Bank tourney this Saturday”.
