This comes as stakeholders, who attended the two-day West Africa Property Investment (WAPI) summit held in Lagos, commended the company for its commitment to quality and standard.
Director of Homework Development and Properties Limited, Mr. Jide Adekola, whose firm participated at the summit, said the projects are driven by the passion to offer affordable quality homes to Nigerians.
Jide Adekola said that though the company has affordable projects in highbrow areas such as Banana Island and Lekki, it is looking at replicating its luxurious and quality products in other places like Ajah, Yaba and other parts of the mainland.
He said Homework intended to deliver on the projects within a short period and that the affordable mini estates would be spread across the country.
“There is a new demand for these apartments and there are people that need them for investment and related purposes since they are affordable,” he said.
Towards this end, he said, the company would negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers of building equipment to see how they could sell their products at discounted rates in line with the focus of the WAPI summit.
Jide Adekola said the summit has helped vendors and other developers to network with the right partners, financiers, and marketers on available and intended projects.
He explained that Homework has made remarkable progress in resolving housing deficit through its products located at Banana Island, where it has a small gated community of terraces and semi-detached duplexes and at Lekki Phase I with Dunvale Terraces.
Other projects include Rowland’s Court, which consists of maisonettes at Elegushi in Lekki; Dunvale Court, an estate of 3 bed and 4 bed terraces as well as units of one and two bedroom apartments, both situated along Orchid Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.
To make its products unique, Homework embarks on regular training for its team of architects and engineers in line with modern trends. This has given the company an edge in the market.
It also makes use of upto-date building technology to tackle the challenge of communication in addition to providing identification and security with close circuit television surveillance solutions in its estates. “We also took into consideration space optimisation, comfort, childfriendly environment and recreation while developing our projects,” Adekola said.
Following the success recorded so far, Homework intends to explore opportunities in other West African countries with products within the reach of the people.
“Most people in Africa are looking for low cost houses and because we have done it in Lagos, we will do same in countries in the sub-region,” Adekola affirmed.
Tola Akinhanmi, Senior Manager, Real Estate Finance (West Africa) at Stanbic IBTC, said the Homework has surpassed its competitors within its short entrant in the industry. He stated that the architectural skills deployed in its projects shows it has the workforce to offer what it promises.
Ireti Kodaolu, Head of Sales at Aframero, said the Homework’s products have good designs and layouts, while Tinubu Adeniyi, a property marketer, affirmed that its products are good enough to attract investors.
