Yari reshuffles cabinet, appoints new commissioner
Governor Abdulaziz Yari has approved the reshuffling of nine out of the 20 commissioners in the state, according to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi.
A former chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Alhaji Dankande Gamji was nominated and appointed as commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs.
The affected commissioners are Alhaji Muttaka Rini who was moved from the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to Ministry of Education, Alhaji Mukhtar Lugga from education to environment, Alhaji Lawal M. Liman from community development to health and Alhaji Ahmad Abubakar from Ministry of Science and Technology to Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Others are Sule Adamu Gummi from Ministry of Health to land and survey, Alhaji Danjari Kotorkoshi from water resources to information, culture and tourism and Alhaji Umar Jibo Bukkuyum from information to water resources and Alhaji Idris Keta from environment to rural and community development.
Those that retained their portfolios are Mukhtar Shehu Idris, finance; Hajiya Bilkisu Bungudu, women and children; Alhaji Muazu Nalado, works and transportation; Alhaji Ibrahim Birnin Magaji, budget and economic planning; Abdullahi Muhammad Gurbin Bore, Youths and Skills Acquisition; Alhaji Abdullahi Maharazu, Religious Affairs; Alhaji Ahmad Sharu Anka, Housing and Town Planning; Barrister Bello Umar, Justice; Alhaji Kabiru Jabaka, Ministry of Higher Education.
