Chris Edume of Naval Quarters Area, Lokogoma Phase II Lokoja, reported that gunmen invaded his residence on December 28, 2017 and robbed him of his Infinity G35X salon car and other items.

He said following the complaints, DSP Babagana Bukar of the Special AntiRobbery Squad (SARS) led a team in an operation that led to the arrest of the suspects.

According to him, the operation led to the arrest of Mohammed Kabiru, Musa Mohammed, Emmanuel Audu, Jale Yunusa.

He said further investigations led to the arrest of one Mohammed Ibrahim in Lagos, from whom the vehicle was eventually recovered.

Other items recovered from the suspects, according to him, included one LG Plasma TV, one home theatre, a bag of rice, 12 assorted handsets, a single barrel gun and various criminal charms.

He said the suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

Speaking to newsmen, the gang leader, Mohammed Musa, who confessed to the crime, said he took to crime because he had nothing to do.

Musa said he had earlier been arrested and charged to court for theft but jumped bail before committing the latest crime.

Narrating his experience, victim of the crime, Chris Edume, said the incident left him and his entire family in trauma.

He said the suspects had a field day as they operated for over two hours and even ate food from his wife’s kitchen.
