Kwara United unveil 17 new players

Kwara United FC yesterday unveiled six strikers, five midfielder­s, three defenders, two attackers and one goalkeeper as new signings for 2017/2018 season.

Top on the list of the newly recruited players are goalkeeper Abdul Lateef Ishola from Lubcon FC, former Enyimba of Aba pointman Ismailia Gatta and former U-20 national team Andrew Igado.

Others are Abdul Aziz Babatunde, who formerly plies his trade with Yobe Stars, Abdul Aziz Babatunde also from Yobe Stars, Andrew Igado midfielder in attached, Babangida Ibrahim from Nasarawa United, China Uluocha from Abia United, Chinedu Sunday from Abia Comets, Ejike Bright from Remo Stars, Agboola Kayode from Shooting Stars FC, Malachy Iloegbuna player from Niger Tornadoes, Mudashir Olamide from Kwara United Feeders, Musa Abdul Hafeez from Adamawa United, Shuaib Olarewaju defender from Ijayapi Rocks, Tijani Adamu from Gombe United, Mba Uche from Niger Tornadoes, Aliyu Yakubu from FC Abuja, Aminu Abdul Kadir from Nasarawa United and Labo Sulyman unattached.

Speaking unveiling Kwara State at the ceremony, governor, Abdulfatta­h Ahmed, who was represente­d by the Commission­er for Sports and Youth Developmen­t, Mr. Kale Ayo, said government will do everything humanly possible to ensure that the team compete favourably in the forthcomin­g season.

In his remarks Kwara united FC, President Oladimeji Ladi Thompson, said the team is poised to make a difference with the new signings and the players on ground.
