The Nigeria House Project Committee has entered into deliberation with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in order to put up a befitting Nigeria House during the World Cup in Russia in June.

The NFF are the owners of game in Nigeria and the hospitality outfit is seeking for ways to showcase the country’s socio-economic and cultural features through cultural artifacts, cuisine and others for Nigerians who will visit Russia during the 2018 World Cup.

Project Coordinator of the Nigeria House Project, Mohammed Abdullahi while on a visit to the NFF’s General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, weekend in Abuja said, the World Cup as one of the biggest sporting events in the world remains a veritable avenue for Nigeria to showcase its rich cultural heritage.

Abdullahi said the committee was empowered to expose foreigners to the beauty of the country through sporting events.

“The purpose for the visit is to open discussion on the possibility of establishing Nigeria House in Russia during the World Cup because the event is one of the biggest sporting fiestas globally due to the number of people it brings together and we don’t want to be left out of it. We have come to deliberate with you the owners of the World Cup in Nigeria and let you know that our mandate is purely hospitality,” he said.

Abdullahi also said the House in Russia will be a melting point for business and roundtable talks. NFF scribe, Dr Sanusi assured the committee of their support, adding that the group will work within the stipulated rules set by FIFA.
