NIEPA organises security education for displaced students

The Director General/ Chief Executive of National Institute of Educationa­l Planning and Administra­tion (NIEPA), Professor Lilian Salami, has disclosed plan of the institute to organise security education for displaced students in the country next month.

She disclosed this at the end of a 3-day intensive induction course in Kaduna for newly recruited education officers of the federal ministry of education.

She described the security education as part of the Institute’s capital project to empower displaced persons, improve service delivery as well as management of peace and security for displaced learners.

Earlier in her remark, Professor Lilian said the induction course seeks to abreast the newly recruited staff with the culture of organisati­on as well as the core ethics and value of the service.

“The overall objective of the induction course is to maximize the potentials of the newly recruited officers in the civil service for better productivi­ty and effective service delivery,” she said.

She stated that a preretirem­ent workshop had just been concluded for retiring officers of the federal ministry of education in Malaysia state.

According to her, all science teachers of unity schools across the six geopolitic­al zones would be empowered in a capacity enhancemen­t programme on science education towards improved service delivery of science education in Nigeria.

Earlier, the director, human resource management in the federal ministry of education, Abubakar A. Koko described the induction course as in conformity with the training guideline of the federal civil service.
