2019: LG council chairmen endorse Pwajok
Present and former council chairmen in Jos South and Jos East local government areas of Plateau State have expressed their willingness to support the member representing Jos South/ Jos East in the House of Representatives, Edward Pwajok, in 2019 for the Plateau North Senatorial District against the serving Senator and former Governor, Jonah David Jang.
Speaking on of the others behalf at the commissioning of two power boreholes worth N26 million, executed by Pwajok in his constituency, the Management Committee Chairman of Jos South Local Government Area, Gideon Dandereng, said they were impressed with his performance in the House of Representatives.
Dandereng said Pwajok had made them proud with the bills and motions raised during plenary which have direct impact on not only his constituency but the nation as a whole.
“It is based on his performance that we are endorsing him to contest for Plateau North Senatorial District in 2019. We believe in his thoughtful ideas and legislative experience. He will move the senatorial zone to an enviable height if given the opportunity. We have not felt the impact of the current senator and he needs to retire home and rest,” he also said.
He added that their dream is to return President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Simon Lalong in 2019 and elevate Pwajok to the green chamber for sustainable peace Plateau.
In his address, Hon Pwajok promised to always update his constituents with current information in the National Assembly and to protect the interest of Plateau people and any section of the country that is truly and genuinely marginalised.
He also announced a free medical outreach for people of Jos East Local Government Area, particularly pregnant women, children and the aged. in
