Bauchi Golf and Country Club gets new executives
Members of the Bauchi Golf and Country Club have elected new executives to run the affairs of the club.
The new executives, who were sworn-in Saturday at a ceremony at the club house, has ýGazali Abubakar as chairman, while Alhaji Yau Ali, Sara Godwin, Moses Ogbo, Matina Sale and Abubakar Abdulkadir were sworn-in as the Vice Captain, Lady Captain, Secretary, Treasurer and Financial Secretary respectively.
Others also sworn-in are Danlami Mohammed as Course officer; Usman Abubakar as Caddie Master; Ibrahim Abubakar as Caddie Officer; Ezra Musa as Competition Secretary while Jibrin Aliyu was sworn-in as Internal Auditor.
The rest are Dr Aliyu Tilde and General Junaidu Bindawa (rtd), who were sworn-in as Chairman and member of Board of Trustees respectively.ý
Speaking, the outgoing Chairman of the Club, Prof. Edigba Agbo, said that the outgoing executive left N2.4 million in the coffers of the club.
According to him, the club’s sub-account has over N1.99 million while the main account has N409, 000.
He informed that he took over the club with only 10 members but its membership had now increased to 26 adding that despite challenges his exco was able to draw up a constitution to guide operations of the club, in addition the construction of the club’s secretariat and a golf course.
Prof. Agbo therefore urged the incoming executive to improve on the facilities handed over to them.
