Aduda trains 100 youths on skills acquisition in Abaji
Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, representing the FCT has organised skills training for 100 youth in Abaji Area Council.
City News reports that the youth, drawn across the 10 wards of the council were trained on various skills such as GMS repairs, soap making, pastries, tie and dye, tailoring and soap detergents.
Aduda, represented by secretary of the council, Alhaji Kamal Adamu Shuaibu, said the training was part of his constituency project, which he said, was aimed at helping the youth and women to be self-reliant.
He said he had embarked on such training for youth and women across the six area councils since last year, adding that the move was to discourage the youth from engaging in any form of social vices that are inimical to the society.
Aduda, also gave N25,000 cash to each of the participants as start-up capital.
He also promised to facilitate soft loans for cooperatives to be formed by the participants through Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
