‘Nigeria can win 2018 FIFA World Cup’

The Managing Director of Nigeria Bottling Company (NBC), Georgios Polymenako­s has said the Super Eagles of Nigeria have what it takes to lift the 2018 edition of the FIFA World Cup in Russia next summer.

He expressed this optimism while speaking at the press conference that heralded the arrival of the original FIFA World Cup trophy to Nigeria.

“Who knows in few years, we may be hosting the World Cup here. Maybe it [the World Cup trophy] will be kept by the Super Eagles.

“I am very optimistic on what this amazing team [Super Eagles] can do because the passion for football here in Nigeria Polymenako­s said.

This is the fourth Global Tour by the FIFA World Cup Trophy, and the third time it would be visiting Nigeria.
